About the Fellowship
The Vision Center, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has established a one-year AUPO FCC compliant fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus in association with the University of Southern California Eye Institute and Keck School of Medicine. The fellowship also offers an optional second year. The fellowship is designed to provide an in-depth experience in treating a broad range of medical and surgical problems in children’s eye diseases, and will prepare the fellow for a successful career in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. The majority of the fellowship occurs at The Vision Center, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. While at The Vision Center, CHLA, the fellow will be involved in the care and management of all aspects of pediatric ophthalmology including, but not limited to, strabismus, anterior segment disease, retinopathy of prematurity, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, and ocular oncology. Some time is also spent at LA General Medical Center interacting with residents. Fellowship applicants must have completed an accredited residency in ophthalmology, and they must be Board eligible in ophthalmology. A California medical license is required in order to begin the fellowship. At this time, we are not sponsoring applicants who require a visa.

How to Apply
A California medical license is required in order to begin the fellowship, and it may be possible for you to apply for a California medical license online. Benefits Include: Health and dental insurance, 20 days paid vacation, plus 8 protected sick days, and a yearly educational stipend
Call: Fellows are expected to rotate with attendings as backup call for residents at CHLA only (no call at USC or LA General Medical Center)
