Graduate Medical Education

CHLA is a sponsoring institution of graduation medical education as accredited by the ACGME. We offer pediatric residencies, child neurology residencies and clinical fellowships, and diversity is a priority for our program.

Pediatric Residency

We strive to train leaders in child and adolescent health with a focus on promoting health equity and caring for the underserved. Our physicians are faculty at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

Child Neurology Residency

Our accredited categorical residency provides a dynamic and energetic environment for training future child neurologists. Residents work with our team of 20 child neurologists and collaborate with numerous areas in the hospital.

Continuing Medical Education Department

We are committed to providing culturally sensitive continuing medical education by enhancing the knowledge, competence and professional performance of medical staff and community physicians regarding new developments in medicine.

Global Health Track

Part of our Pediatric Residency Program, the Global Health Track offers a unique opportunity to work on the front lines of global pediatric care. The program has established local and international partnerships to meet resident needs and interests.

International Observership Program

We aim to facilitate the transfer of knowledge from CHLA experts to health care providers from other countries through informal, immersive shadowing. We hope to inspire new ideas that participants can use when they return to their home institutions.
