K-R Program

Program Purpose

The goal of the K-R grant program is to provide a formal three-level process to assist scholars in the submission of K and R series NIH grants: 

  1. Initial face-to-face review of the specific aims page and initial study design between the junior faculty member and two to three senior mentors (from different disciplines) with a track record of NIH funding and experience in the peer review process.
  2. Detailed review of the entire application by one to two senior faculty members 
  3. Careful review by a grants editor with experience in grant writing and submission.

Eligibility

All faculty members submitting K and R series NIH grants are qualified to utilize this program.
