Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Launches 10th Annual Make March Matter® Fundraising Campaign
LOS ANGELES (Feb. 27, 2025)–Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) launched its 10th annual Make March Matter campaign Thursday. Actors and longtime CHLA supporters Chris Pine and Robert Pine joined the hospital at the kickoff event. Saving lives is everyone’s business, and the month-long fundraising drive empowers local businesses to rally community participation to raise $1 million or more in March to support children’s health in Los Angeles.
“Make March Matter embodies one of our hospital’s core values—we do our best together,” says CHLA’s Chief Executive Officer Paul S. Viviano. “Being engaged in our community and taking care of the children and families who live in Southern California are integral to CHLA’s mission of creating hope and building healthier futures. We are deeply grateful to the local businesses and corporate partners who help us raise funds through Make March Matter and support the lifesaving health care our team members provide at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.”
Since the campaign’s launch in 2016, nearly 500 businesses have raised more than $14 million for the hospital through special menu items, shopping events, cooking classes, and much more. Participating in Make March Matter is easy: Individuals can shop at, dine with, or attend an event with one of our participating partners, and funds will be donated to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Businesses across the southland have pledged to support CHLA throughout the month of March. Each participating partner has selected a unique way to contribute to the campaign’s collective impact, such as selling specific items and donating the proceeds to CHLA or devoting a portion of sales for the entire month to the hospital. Since the campaign’s inception, five partners—Alfred Coffee, Credit Unions for Kids, Delta, LA Kings, and Panda Express—have participated every year, earning the distinction of being Make March Matter Diamond Decade partners.
For a complete list of participating partners and events taking place throughout the month of March, or to donate, go to MakeMarchMatter.org. Individuals may also share how they are supporting the campaign on social media by following @GetInvolvedCHLA on Instagram and using #MakeMarchMatter.
