Research Compliance
Research Compliance provides comprehensive guidance and oversight to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles research community to ensure the responsible conduct of research. This includes the development of training and education; auditing and monitoring; and distribution of policies, procedures and standards of conduct that promote adherence to applicable laws, regulations and institutional policies.

Detecting and Preventing Fraud, Waste, Abuse and Misconduct
It is the policy of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to provide health care in a manner that complies with all applicable federal and state laws. Such compliance is critical to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ commitment to operating pursuant to the highest business, professional and ethical standards. To further this policy, and in compliance with Section 6032 of the Federal Deficit Reduction Act, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles maintains a Compliance Program and has implemented a policy regarding the detection and prevention of fraud, waste, abuse and misconduct.
Policy on Gifts From Industry
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles prohibits the receipts of gifts, regardless of size or value, from health care industry vendors to employees. We also have a rigorous conflict-of-interest disclosure and review process to mitigate any potential conflict of interest that may impact patient care.
