My love for nursing started in junior high, when my father had a heart attack. I was impressed with the care the nurses provided while he was hospitalized and decided then that I wanted to pay it forward. My love for children led me to pediatrics.

I was a Labor/Delivery nurse prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. As an NP, I worked in pediatric primary care within the community for 15 years before joining CHLA. Now, I work in the Heart Institute, primarily with children who have had Kawasaki Disease and Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C). As an advanced practice nurse, providing answers and giving comfort to both the patient and the parents is incredibly rewarding. I love relating to the child and making sure they feel heard and cared for.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends. My favorite pastimes include movie nights, karaoke, and traveling.
