Alysza Kristine Okazaki, MPAP, PA-C

Physician Assistant

The value of service is something that I understood very early in my childhood. Volunteering in retirement homes showed me that residents varied in life stories, circumstances, and ailments. Over time, I noticed that many suffered from depression and loneliness, and it became my goal to make them smile and laugh with every visit. Although I was not able to physically treat these residents, I realized that even the smallest acts of empathy, compassion, and respect could make significant impacts in their lives. This experience served as the catalyst that sparked my passion for pursuing a career in medicine. As I worked and volunteered in various health care settings in my younger days, I appreciated the abundant opportunities for continuous learning, collaboration among healthcare professionals, and the precious gift of being able to positively impact people's lives. I then aspired to become a provider whom patients can trust, one who acknowledges their overall well-being, and provide above and beyond care, which is something I've strongly held on to as I navigated through my PA journey. Additionally, working with the pediatric population has always been my favorite as I’ve always admired their resiliency and positive attitude through adversities, and being able to empower them through my care is personally very meaningful.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing sports, travelling, and spending time with my husband and our fur babies.
