
Angela Desmond, MD
Dr. Angela Desmond is an Attending Neonatologist in the Division of Neonatology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Her research interests include congenital heart disease, advanced fetal imaging and hemodynamics, and nutrition. She aims to describe the placenta-cardiac-brain axis and in utero hemodynamics in pregnancies affected by fetal congenital heart disease through magnetic resonance imaging. She desires to improve our understanding of congenital heart disease pathophysiology and origins of poor growth.
Her work requires collaboration between neonatology, obstetrics and maternal fetal medicine, cardiology, and radiology. She is pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Research at UCLA.
