Bonnie Lee, MSN, APRN, NNP-BC

Advanced Practice Provider Manager

I started my career as a nurse practitioner at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in 2005. I have always gravitated toward newborn ICU care because of my interest in human development and cellular biology. I love nerdy science stuff! Babies are incredibly strong and fragile at the same time, and it's an honor to be a part of their development, supporting every system of their tiny bodies.

I'm passionate about both the patients and the science, and I recognize the important role we play in educating and supporting NICU families during the most vulnerable times of their lives. As fate would have it, I gave birth to premature twins born at 30 weeks, so I understand what it's like to be on both sides. I have immense respect and understanding for what parents go through when they can't have their children at home with them.

I'm hooked on what I do because of how science and art come together into a meaningful human experience. I'm proud to be a part of the CHLA team. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, traveling, scuba diving, practicing yoga, and crafting.
