Craig McElderry, MD
At CHLA since 1995, Dr. McElderry served as fellowship director early on, and for the past 11 years has functioned as the ED Liaison to the Trauma Program. CHLA is a Pediatric Trauma Center, verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level 1 Trauma Center.
His other administrative role includes scheduling all of the ED attending shifts. Academically, he has done peer review for Pediatric Emergency Medicine Reports and has written questions for the PEM Boards.
Most recently, he authored multiple chapters in Fleisher and Ludwig’s 5-Minute Pediatric Emergency Medicine Consult Text. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys BBQing with friends, working out, and hiking.
