Cynthia E. Muñoz, PhD, MPH, MA
Dr. Muñoz is a bilingual licensed psychologist who holds an appointment as Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the USC Keck School of Medicine. After receiving a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a MPH in Maternal and Child Health, she completed an internship and two-year pediatric psychology fellowship at CHLA. Currently, she serves as a pediatric psychologist at the CHLA Behavioral Health Center and at the Center for Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism (CEDM). Muñoz also conducts research targeting behavioral health issues associated with pediatric insulin-dependent diabetes. Muñoz co-developed a psychosocial program for teens with insulin-dependent diabetes, siblings, and caregivers, Teen Power. Teen Power is offered through the CHLA Behavioral Health Center and at the CEDM. She is also actively involved with the American Diabetes Association on a national and local level.
