Debra Browne, MSN, RNP, CPNP-PC
Taking care of children in a family centered care environment is my passion. My previous primary care and specialty care (Craniofacial/plastic surgery; Feeding and Swallowing Disorders) experiences have led me to my current home in Gastroenterology. I specialize in the care of children with constipation and neurogastric problems, Fatty Liver Disease as well as general GI problems. I practice at both the Main Campus and at the South Bay Ambulatory Care Center in Torrance and see newborns through adolescent patients. It is important that you understand what is happening to your child and why you need follow the plan of care that we will develop together.
My commitment is to also educate the next generation of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Students by providing clinical preceptorship opportunities and to orient and mentor Nurse Practitioners new to GI. Together we learn!
I currently participate in several research studies related to GI problems. Our team is currently investigating how to measure liver fat and liver stiffness in children with many different health problems effecting the liver.
During my time away from CHLA, I enjoy playing tennis, reading, knitting, and walking my dog Houdini, who is quite the character.
