James Connard, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC

I have dedicated my career to the care of pediatric patients. I am passionate about children living with chronic illness and helping to improve their care across the lifespan. I started my career working with infants and children living with congenital/acquired heart disease in the acute care setting before transitioning to outpatient care of patients living with diabetes. My primary focus currently is type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, monogenic diabetes, and secondary diabetes. I chose to become a nurse because it requires the art of combining science and interpersonal skills to help improve patient experience and outcomes. In my free time, I enjoy time with my dog, enjoying live music, and all the wonderful things that Los Angeles has to offer.
