Kristen Guevara, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC

I am a nationally certified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. My journey in the health care field started at The University of Texas at Austin where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I then spent 7 years as a bedside nurse in pediatric hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant and pediatric ICU specialties. I have always loved learning about complex patients and caring for vulnerable populations. I was inspired to get my nurse practitioner license to have more ability to advocate for the best possible care for my patients and families. I completed my Master of Science in Nursing degree at The University of Colorado- Anschutz Medical Campus. Prior to my time here at CHLA, I practiced at Children's Hospital Colorado as a Hematology/Oncology/BMT nurse practitioner.

In my spare time, I love playing volleyball, traveling the world and cheering on the Texas Longhorns! Hook 'Em!
