Nurse Practitioner

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in acute care and Infectious Diseases, I bring over two decades of experience. My career is rooted in a lifelong aspiration to heal and a commitment to serve vulnerable patients.

My commitment to work in pediatric medicine was inspired by my brother’s treatment for cancer at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where the profound impact of compassionate care and expertise became my guiding principle.

My professional path began at the University of Michigan Mott Children’s Hospital, where I spent eight years as a pediatric nurse, with four years dedicated to the Intensive Care Unit. These formative years solidified my advocacy for child health and family wellness, shaping my approach to patient care during life’s most delicate moments.

I hold a Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing from Wayne State University and a National Board-certified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. My tenure as a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner allowed me to manage a spectrum of pediatric conditions, furthering my expertise in acute pediatric infections.
For the past seven years, I have served as a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Nurse Practitioner. My fascination with microbiology and pathophysiology fuels my dedication to this specialty. I take pride in educating families and mentoring nurse practitioner students, empowering them with knowledge on complex infections and preventive healthcare.

In my role as a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Nurse Practitioner, I truly enjoy collaborating with my Infectious Disease colleagues in treating some of the most complicated infections in high-risk patients. My specialized expertise in infectious diseases has been pivotal, mainly steering through the complexities presented by recent global health emergencies.

Outside of my professional life, I am deeply committed to family and community. I cherish the moments spent with family and friends. Particularly, I enjoy watching my children engage in sports. I love the outdoors such as camping, hiking, and mountain biking.

My dedication to service extends to my local church, where I volunteer with preschoolers, nurturing their growth and learning. I am equally passionate about advancing the field of nursing through education. As a mentor and educator, I take pride in guiding nurse practitioner students, fostering their development into skilled healthcare professionals.
