Patricia T Acharya, MD, FAAP
Patricia T. Acharya, MD, FAAP is an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology at Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She graduated from a combined BS/MD program with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2004 and a Doctor of Medicine degree at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science – Chicago Medical School in 2008.
Dr. Acharya completed a Transitional Year internship at Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners – Michigan State University in 2009 followed by a Diagnostic Radiology residency at New York Medical College – Westchester Medical Center in 2013. She then did a two-year fellowship in Pediatric Radiology and Pediatric Musculoskeletal imaging at Boston Children’s Hospital.
In 2015, she moved to Southern California, where her husband was doing his Neuroradiology fellowship at USC. She worked for Renaissance Imaging Medical Associates before becoming a faculty member in 2017 at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in the roles of Assistant Professor of Radiology in the Division of Pediatric Radiology, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, and Director of Medical Student Education for the Department of Radiology in the Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She currently is the Director of Musculoskeletal Imaging at CHLA.
She serves on the American Board of Radiology Pediatric Certifying Committee, Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR) Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound Task Force Committee, SPR Public Policy Committee, and SPR Professionalism Committee.
