Clinical research interests, include: Capsule endoscopy testing in the pediatric patient, inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal and anorectal motility testing in children. Ongoing research studies, include: 1. An Open Label Pilot Study Evaluating the Safety and Evidence of Therapeutic Effect of a 96-Hour Continuous Intravenous Administration of 2-0, 3-0 Desulfated Heparin (ODSH) for the Treatment of Exacerbation of Protein Losing Enteropathy (PLE) Associated With Single Ventricle Palliative Surgery – PLE after Fontan (Co-investigator). 2. DEVELOP: An Inflammatory Bowel DisEase Multicenter, ProspectiVE, LOng-term Registry of Pediatric Patients (Co-investigator). 3. SECURE: A Non-Interventional Long-term Post-Marketing Registry of Patients Treated with Certolizumab Pegol (Cimzia®) for Crohn’s Disease- SECURE Registry – Cimzia (Co-investigator). Prior laboratory research: The role of endothelial progenitor cell response in the outcome of liver disease, namely sinusoidial obstruction syndrome.
