Sheila Osterhaus, MS, APRN, CPNP-PC, CHPPN
From a young age I knew I wanted to work with children because they are way more fun than adults! In medicine I have always worked in pediatrics, except when I had to do clinical hours in adult medicine as a nursing student. I fell in love with palliative care while working as a bedside nurse in the pediatric acute and intensive care units at NYU and pursued a palliative care fellowship at Harvard/Boston Children's Hospital after completing my master's degree. I enjoy partnering with patients and families throughout their clinical course, building relationships, and adapting as their needs may change over time. I also appreciate being able to provide continuity of care between the inpatient and outpatient settings.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling (often to visit family and friends), eating good food, and trying to keep my plants alive (I do not have a green thumb).
