Susan Carson, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC
I always knew that I wanted to work with children and have done so my entire career. I joined the Hematology Section in the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute in 1999 as a Case Manager and then transitioned into the role of Nurse Practitioner. I love working with patients and families with inherited and acquired blood disorders from newborn to adult hood. I specialize in Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Disease, Iron overload, and bone marrow failure syndromes. I also participate in and lead research to help improve treatment and outcomes for patents and families while providing comprehensive and wholistic care.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with family and friends outdoors- either skiing, camping, hiking or going to the beach.
