Judy Koempel, MSN, CRNA

Ever since my pediatric rotation in nursing school, I knew I wanted to focus on pediatrics. After gaining five years of experience in the NICU and PICU, I became a nurse anesthetist. Since 2008, I've been working as a pediatric CRNA at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. I feel fortunate to have a job that challenges me every day and brings personal satisfaction.

Being entrusted by families during such emotional moments is a true honor for me. One of the highlights of my job is getting to know families and patients before surgery and building a connection with them. I approach anesthesia care with the same level of care and attention I would give to my own family members. My practice is guided by the principles of respect, safety, and ensuring patient satisfaction.
