“Suicide risk screening for autistic youth demands adjustments.” Research from the Training and Research to Empower NeuroDiversity (TREND) Lab, directed by Dr. Jessica Schwartzman, suggests that common suicide screening tools for youth may not be optimal for those on the autism spectrum. Instead, adapted approaches to screening for suicide in autism may serve this community best.
“Enhancing therapy processes for and with autistic people.” The TREND Lab partnered with autistic people and other members of the autism community to advance treatments and other mental healthcare interventions for this population.
