Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Care Network members are part of a transformative effort to deliver seamless, high-quality services in communities across Southern California. We are the first clinically integrated network (CIN) in the region focused on the unique needs of pediatric practices. The Care Network facilitates numerous initiatives promoting collaboration, enhancing clinical knowledge and driving efficiencies across the care continuum.
“We are so appreciative of all the help you have provided to streamline administrative work and implement change so that we can focus on practicing medicine.”
Collaborating with fellow pediatricians, nurse practitioners and CHLA, you have a hand in building and strengthening an integrated health system. We are establishing care standards that ease some of the burden on families and help children receive efficient care. Membership also gives you access to resources and expertise from CHLA faculty that enhance your clinical knowledge and practice operations. Read Care Network FAQs.
Our quality mission is to improve population health by working together to develop and implement quality measures that are relevant and significant in children’s lives. To achieve this, the Care Network quality team offers a variety of program formats, including:
CHLA pediatric experts guide members through a combination of web-based learning collaboratives including a quality improvement project. Efforts involve implementing interventions and collecting data in focus areas such as weight management and behavioral health.
This learning collaborative consists of educational sessions led by our expert faculty. Members expand their capacity to identify, treat and manage conditions in primary care practices. They also learn guidelines for appropriate referrals to specialty care. Sample topics include neurological issues and orthopedic injuries.
Like the mini educational series, our self-paced programs expand members’ capacity to identify, treat and manage conditions and implement referral guidelines. This option uses our learning management system, Open LMS. Members complete education sessions as their schedules permit.
Support for operational and clinical practice includes:
Participating in some Care Network activities, such as quality improvement programs, counts toward continuing medical education requirements. Program participants can earn CME and maintenance of certification (MOC) Part 2 or Part 4 credit by successfully completing specific quality improvement initiatives. CME credit is also available for attending town hall sessions.
