Highlights of our program include:

Our interventional radiologist uses embolization to block blood vessels that feed vascular anomalies. This technique uses tiny needles and long tubes (catheters) to deliver therapies. When the use of x-rays is required, Children’s Hospital has advanced imaging technologies that enable us to use the lowest possible radiation dose.

If your child is not a Children’s Hospital patient, we can still review the case. Our surgeons and interventional radiologist welcome the opportunity to provide a second opinion. Hearing from multiple specialists may be helpful, especially if your child has a large or complex malformation. Get more information about online second opinions.
We also offer adult consultations for patients 21 and older. These appointments are for people whose symptoms do not appear until later in life or who have ongoing care needs. We provide recommendations and may coordinate referrals to adult surgeons or interventional radiologists.
