Online Bill Pay for International Patients
We make it easier for international patient families to submit payment to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Read on to find out more about when and how to pay for your child’s medical services.
When Are Payments Due?
Families typically need to submit payment:
- Before receiving care: Upon our initial review of your child’s case, we provide an initial care plan and cost estimate. You will need to make a deposit to secure your child’s initial appointments.
- After treatments are complete: Prior to discharge, you will receive a final bill for all services provided.
Paying Your International Bill Through Flywire
CHLA accepts all international payments via Flywire. This platform facilitates secure payments from any country and bank. In most cases, you pay in your home country’s currency, and Flywire sends funds in U.S. dollars directly to CHLA.
You can submit payment via wire transfer, credit card, e-payments and more. Flywire offers excellent foreign exchange rates with no hidden fees. Flywire also allows you to track your payment’s progress and to receive text or email alerts each step of the way—including when funds reach CHLA.
How to Make a Payment Online
When you receive an invoice:
Click on the PAY NOW button from your invoice or go to chla.flywire.com. Then select your home country and enter the amount due on your invoice to pay CHLA.
- Select a payment method. Options include wire transfers, credit cards or other local payment options, depending on your home country.
- Create your Flywire account or log in and enter the required information for CHLA.
- Make payment to Flywire as instructed, online or by communicating with your home bank. Flywire will send the payment to CHLA with your information.
- Track your payment via email or text or by logging onto flywire.com. You will receive notification when CHLA accepts the payment.
